Sunny & Dave

Golden California light, bubbly in hand, and the Pacific stretching out behind them, Sunny and Dave’s Laguna Beach engagement session was the perfect balance of elegant and effortless.


These two share a love for cooking, hiking, discovering new cafés and, perhaps most importantly, sushi. Their session carried that same easygoing energy: playful, unhurried, and centred around simply enjoying the evening together.


We wandered the coastline as the sun began to drop, moving between rocky cliffs and the shoreline with champagne in hand. As golden hour faded into softer shades over the ocean, everything felt a little cinematic , wind off the water, bare feet in the sand, and that unmistakable warmth of a Southern California summer evening.


There was an elegance to the photographs without the evening ever feeling overly styled. A little movement, a lot of laughter, and space for the unexpected moments in between.


A beautiful evening for a Laguna Beach engagement session, and an even better way to document this season of Sunny and Dave’s story before the wedding begins.
