Madeline & Jake
A Slow Evening by the Sea
There’s something about California at sunset — the air feels softer, time slows down a little, and everything gets wrapped in that golden glow. That’s exactly how it felt during Madeline and Jake’s session on the coast of San Diego.
We met up just before golden hour, with the beach nearly empty and the light starting to dip. The two of them were instantly easy together — playful, calm, and so present. There was no pressure, no big agenda — just time to be together, soak it in, and let the light do its thing.
We wandered, laughed, got our feet sandy. The sun dipped behind the cliffs and lit the whole sky in soft, peachy hues. It felt quiet and grounding — the kind of evening you don’t want to rush.
This session was a reminder of what we love most about doing this — documenting people as they are, in places that mean something, without overcomplicating it.
